Overview of Staffing at WKR Games

Staff at WKR Games help keep the ski resort running smoothly, safely, and fairly for everyone. Whether you are operating lifts, patrolling the slopes, running training sessions, or working in corporate roles, you represent the wider WKR community across Roblox, Discord, and our website.

We look for staff who are respectful, reliable, and willing to learn. Staff are expected to support players, follow procedures, and work together as a team while upholding the values and standards of WKR Games.

Hiring Process

All users who begin going through the hiring process are immediately subject to the basic rules and regulations outlined in this document.

The hiring process depends on the job being applied for, but generally includes the following stages:

  • Step 1 – Theory Quiz: Applicants must complete a written or digital theory-based exam covering WKR Games expectations, basic rules, staff behavior, and role-specific responsibilities. This ensures applicants understand standards before being given any authority in-game.
  • Step 2 – Practical Exam: After passing the theory portion, applicants will undergo a practical evaluation with a licensed WKR instructor. This exam focuses on real-time performance, communication, ability to follow procedures, and how the applicant reacts to common in-game scenarios.
  • Step 3 – Additional Evaluations (for advanced roles): Users applying for anything other than Lift Operator or the Human Resources Corporate team may be subject to more lengthy processes and exams. This can include multiple theory quizzes, extended practical testing, interview-style sessions, or additional checks depending on the position.
  • Step 4 – Decision & Onboarding: Once all required stages are completed, the applicant will receive a decision. If accepted, staff roles are assigned in Roblox and/or Discord, and new staff are directed to training resources, schedules, and relevant staff communication channels.

The depth and length of the process varies by job, especially for higher-responsibility positions. Applicants will be informed of what to expect when they apply.

Basic Eligibility & Requirements

Exact requirements may change over time and may differ by team. The list below is a general guideline you can adjust as needed.

  • Membership in the WKR Games Roblox group (where applicable).
  • Membership in the official WKR Games Discord server (for most roles).
  • Ability to communicate clearly in the languages required by the team.
  • Willingness to follow staff procedures, take feedback, and work in a team.
  • Basic understanding of in-game systems relevant to the applied role.

Some roles may have additional requirements, such as minimum age, prior experience, or a clean moderation history. These details may be listed separately in role-specific documents or applications.

Staff Roles & Expectations

WKR Games staff roles are designed to keep the ski resort running safely and to support the player experience. While each team has specific responsibilities, all staff share a common goal: to make WKR Games welcoming, fair, and well-organized.

  • Lift Operators: Operate lifts, assist players boarding and exiting, monitor queues, and help maintain smooth traffic flow throughout the resort.
  • Ski Patrol: Monitor slopes and public areas for disruptive or unsafe behavior, assist players who have questions, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Human Resources / Corporate: Handle staff applications, reviews, internal documentation, and staffing decisions. They help ensure that policies are followed and that staff teams remain organized.
  • Other Advanced Roles: Additional roles may include trainers, event coordinators, and directors or leadership positions that oversee larger parts of the community and operations.

Some roles may not be listed publicly in detail for security or internal reasons, but all staff are bound by the regulations below.

Regulations & Disciplinary Actions

Professional Conduct

All staff, while representing WKR Games, are required to have a common level of respect for all others in the community Discord, Roblox group, and in-game at all times. Staff are expected to remain calm and professional, especially when dealing with conflict or disruptive behavior.

Language & Behavior Restrictions

Use of derogatory language and terms is strictly forbidden. This includes:

  • Any form of slurs (full, shortened, or bypassed versions).
  • Harassment, discrimination, or targeted insults.
  • NSFW (Not Safe For Work) media, comments, or roleplay.
  • Inappropriate or offensive statuses, display names, or nicknames while in a staff role.
  • Abuse of staff powers or commands for personal amusement or revenge.

Activity Requirements

Staff are required to maintain a minimum level of activity based on their role. This can include regular in-game presence, participation in trainings or meetings, and engagement with players.

Lift Operators and Ski Patrol are exempt from strict shift-based activity rules, but must still demonstrate consistent presence when possible, respond to guidance from leadership, and follow all regulations listed here.

Important: All staff are subject to these regulations as long as they hold a staff position. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from staff depending on the severity and frequency of the behavior.

Disciplinary Path (Offense-Based)

First Offense — Verbal / Informal Warning

  • Used for minor misbehavior, small mistakes, or light inactivity.
  • Staff are reminded of expectations and given a chance to correct behavior.
  • May or may not be recorded formally, depending on the situation.

Second Offense — Written Warning

  • Issued if issues continue after an initial warning.
  • May involve inappropriate language, repeated failure to follow procedures, or disrespectful behavior toward players or staff.
  • Recorded in staff records and may affect promotion eligibility.

Third Offense — Suspension

  • Temporary removal of staff permissions for a set time (for example 1–14 days).
  • May require retraining or a review meeting before being reinstated.
  • Staff returning from suspension may be placed on a probation period.

Fourth Offense — Removal from Staff

  • Used when behavior continues after multiple warnings or suspension.
  • All staff roles and permissions are revoked in Roblox and Discord.
  • Appeals, if allowed, are handled by Corporate Leads or Directors and are not guaranteed.

Immediate Removal (Zero-Tolerance)

The following may result in instant removal from staff regardless of previous history:

  • Severe harassment or hate speech.
  • NSFW content directed at or involving minors.
  • Intentionally assisting exploiters, or using exploits themselves.
  • Abusing moderation powers to target or harass players or staff.
  • Threats, doxxing attempts, or serious safety concerns.
  • Deliberate sabotage of WKR Games systems, events, or reputation.
